I hate flees

You ever have flees, they are most terrible little creatures and they are hard to get rid of, especially in the summer time, they are in the carpet all over the dog. sit in one spot for long and the flees will be attacking you, I have bathed my dog used flee powder on the carpets tried bombing the place, I just can't seem to get rid of the flees, I think they are breeding in the grass outside and the dog is bring them in, and mind you, I only have one and she is small, so i guess my question is Does anyone know of a better way to kills these flees???
